Tips
To get started click on Add A Bill from the top of the page and start entering the bill information. Here are a few important things to be aware of when setting up your Bills:- Make sure you first have your Accounts setup from the My Accounts page. This allows you to tie your Bill to an account automatially.
- To view the outcome of your Bills vs Income at the end of the month, make sure you go to the My Income page. Once you have Bills and Income setup, you'll see a monthly total at the bottom of the page showing you how much will be left once all income and bills have been paid
- Entering your Bills will automatically be applied to your Transaction Forecast. To accesss, click on My Transaction and then click Forecast. You'll then see your Bills show up as if they were already in your registry to give you and accurate view of what your account will look like once your Bill has been paid.
- If you select the more options link, you'll be able to enter the contact information for this bill. In addtion, once saved this will automatically be synced up with your My Contacts page.
- The category you select is your budget. You'll notice that the list of categries from the dropdown is the same as what you see on the My Budget page. So make sure you enter a Generic name for the category such as Water Bill and then the Payee name at the top.
- When marking a Bill Paid, a new transaction is created in your Registry which is tied to that Bill. Therefore if you delete the transaction, your bill will automatically become unpaid
- There are two methods for recording a Bill. You can either select the checkbox and click record Bill, or click the Record link to manually change certain aspects of the transaction that is being created.
- If your Bill is scheduled monthly on a day that is later than the end of the month, your Bill will get recorded as due on the last of the month instead.
